Life Archive — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Life Archive is developed and provided by FinBillion Ventures ("FinBillion", "we", "us", or "our").

Life Archive is designed to help users preserve and organise personal memories, relationships, family history, places, documents, photographs and other information relating to their lives.

We recognise that much of this information can be highly personal. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled by Life Archive.

2. Current testing version

The version of Life Archive currently being tested is an early development build containing an initial application shell.

The current testing build does not provide the full set of Life Archive features described on our product page.

As additional functionality is introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated where necessary before those features are made available.

3. Information you may provide

Depending on the version and features you use, Life Archive may allow you to enter or store information such as:

• names and other information about people;

• family and other relationships;

• dates and life events;

• addresses and places associated with different periods of life;

• GPS/location information when you choose to add a location;

• photographs and other media;

• documents and files;

• notes, descriptions and memories;

• other information that you voluntarily choose to preserve in the application.

Some of this information may relate to other people. You should only add information where you have an appropriate basis to do so.

4. Information stored on your device

Life Archive is being designed with a strong emphasis on local/private storage.

Where information is stored locally on your device, that information is not automatically transmitted to FinBillion merely because you entered it into the application.

The exact storage and synchronisation behaviour will depend on the features included in each version of the application.

5. Location information

Life Archive may allow you to associate a place with a person, event, address or memory.

You may be able to enter a location manually or use a location service such as a map to identify a place.

Location information will only be used for the purposes for which you choose to provide or use it.

6. Photos, documents and files

Life Archive may allow you to preserve photographs, documents and other personal files.

These materials may contain sensitive personal information. You should review the information contained in files before adding them to Life Archive.

Particularly sensitive material may be stored in a separate protected area within the application where such functionality is available.

7. Information we do not sell

FinBillion does not sell users' personal information to third parties.

We do not use personal life-history information stored by users in Life Archive for advertising purposes.

8. Third-party services

Certain optional functions may use third-party services, such as mapping or other platform services.

Where a third-party service is used, information necessary for that service may be processed by the relevant service provider according to its own privacy policy.

The applicable third-party services will be identified as the relevant Life Archive features are introduced.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information handled by Life Archive.

However, no electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should also protect access to their devices and any credentials or security mechanisms used to protect Life Archive.

10. Children's privacy

Life Archive is not designed as a children's service.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a service specifically directed at children.

11. Data retention and deletion

Where Life Archive stores information locally on a user's device, the user generally controls that information through the application and the device.

Deletion behaviour may differ depending on the type of information and feature involved.

Where an online service is introduced, the applicable retention and deletion practices will be described in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Life Archive develops new functionality or when our privacy practices change.

The latest version will be published on:

The "Last updated" date at the beginning of this policy will indicate when the policy was most recently revised.
