Last updated: 1 November 2026 (app version 1.16). The full text is in the Bryttt Privacy Policy.
Bryttt is an educational platform that combines child-friendly news, reading activities, quizzes and school curriculum practice. It also offers a School Edition designed for teachers and schools.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using Bryttt, including the consumer experience for children and parents and the School Edition for teachers.
The consumer experience is designed to work without requiring children or parents to create an account or sign in.
Depending on the features used, information such as child profiles, reading progress, quiz results, preferences and parental settings may be stored locally on the device.
Parent PIN protection is intended to help parents manage child profiles and access to parental features. Users should protect access to their devices and avoid sharing sensitive information unnecessarily.
2A. Free Use for One Year
Bryttt is free. It has no advertisements, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. Each copy of the app works for one year from the day it is first used on a device. After that year the app stops working on that device. Updating the app, or uninstalling and reinstalling it, does not start a new year. Schools and organisations that need more time can write to support@finbillion.com.
Bryttt School Edition provides teacher access and classroom-related functionality.
School Edition is in early access. Teacher name, school name, email address, classroom lists and any student names a teacher enters are stored on the teacher's device. Cloud synchronisation is not active in this version of the app, and no teacher or student information is sent to a FinBillion server. If cloud synchronisation is introduced later, this page will be updated before it is switched on.
News, images and science content come from outside publishers and agencies, for example NewsAPI, NASA, NOAA, BBC, Deutsche Welle, RFI, The Hindu, the Press Information Bureau and OneIndia. The app connects to those servers directly, so they can see the device's IP address. Short videos (Reels) play in the YouTube player, and YouTube may collect data under Google's own privacy policy. Articles pass through a content-safety filter before they are shown.
Most translation runs on the device using Google ML Kit. Its language packs are downloaded once from Google. For Malayalam, the headline and summary of a public news article, together with the language pair, are sent to the MyMemory translation service (api.mymemory.translated.net). Nothing a child typed, and no name or profile data, is sent. The service can see the device's IP address. Please do not paste personal or confidential text into any translation feature.
5. No Analytics, No Advertising
Bryttt contains no advertising and no analytics or crash-reporting service that collects data about children. The app does not read the advertising ID and does not ask for any advertising permission. If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the change is released.
Depending on the features and services enabled, information may be used to:
Provide news, reading activities and educational practice.
Maintain locally stored profiles, preferences and learning progress.
Support teacher accounts and classroom organisation.
Synchronise supported school information when cloud synchronisation is enabled.
Maintain seat or licence information.
Protect the one-year limit on each copy of the app.
Respond to support requests and address technical problems.
Protect the service against misuse and maintain its security.
Information is not intended to be used for unrelated purposes that are inconsistent with this policy.
Bryttt connects to third-party providers for news content, images, translation and video, as described in section 4. No child or parent information is shared with any of them. Firebase cloud synchronisation for School Edition is not active in this version of the app.
FinBillion Ventures does not operate its own user-data server for the consumer learning experience as described in the current application design. This does not exclude processing by third-party providers or future changes to the service architecture.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their collection and processing practices may differ from those of Bryttt.
Bryttt is designed to keep consumer learning information on the device wherever the application's functionality permits.
School information may also be stored remotely when Firebase synchronisation is configured and enabled.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures should be used to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
To keep the one-year period from restarting, the app's activation dates (the day of first use and the last day seen) may be saved by Android's backup. Nothing else is backed up. Child profiles, progress, results, the Parent PIN and the security answer are never included. Whether the dates come back after a reinstall depends on the phone's backup settings, so this cannot be guaranteed.
To protect the one-year limit, the app sometimes asks www.finbillion.com for the current date and time, at most once every six hours while it is in use. This is an ordinary web request. The server can see the device's IP address. No profile, child or news-reading data is sent.
Information stored locally may remain on a device until it is deleted through available app functions, the app's storage is cleared, or the application is uninstalled. The exact result depends on the data type and the device's backup settings.
If School Edition information has been synchronised to Firebase, deleting local app data or uninstalling the app may not delete the remote copy.
Parents can delete a child profile in the app at any time, without sending us an email:
1. Open Bryttt and tap Parent in the bottom bar.
2. Tap the profile card at the top. This opens Switch Profile.
3. Find the child's name and tap Delete Profile.
4. Enter your Parent PIN.
The profile, its progress and its results are removed from the device straight away. Uninstalling the app removes all other data stored by Bryttt on the device.
For other requests, write to support@finbillion.com. We respond within 30 days.
Where deletion requests involve school-managed information or children's information, additional verification or coordination with the relevant school may be necessary to ensure that the request is authorised.
Bryttt is designed for young learners and families. We aim to minimise unnecessary collection of children's information and to handle learning information responsibly.
The consumer experience does not require child or parent sign-in. School Edition may involve student names and classroom information entered by teachers, and additional safeguards are necessary when that functionality is used.
Schools should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information about students. Before enabling cloud synchronisation, the relevant school should review the information being uploaded, access permissions, applicable consent requirements and the school's own obligations for protecting children's information.
Users and, where appropriate, parents, guardians or authorised school representatives may contact us with questions about privacy, access to information, correction requests or deletion requests.
To make a request, contact:
Email: support@finbillion.com
Please provide enough information to help us understand the request, but do not send passwords, Parent PINs or unnecessary sensitive information by email.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Bryttt's features, services, integrations or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised update date.
Users and schools should review this page periodically, particularly before enabling new account, analytics or synchronisation features.
